This website/blog offers little nuggets of truth to fertilize the growth of other thoughts, ideas, and actions. Of course, one person’s fertilizer could be another person’s pile of crap. It depends on how you look at it.
I started this online depository of my writings in January of 2009, then stopped in January of 2010. Then I restarted Word Ferd (as I like to call it) in January of 2016, keeping at it until March of that same year.
I feel the need to explain, especially to myself, that I didn’t quit out of laziness or lack of writing interest or some innate character flaw. I was going through varying intensities of family responsibilities, my own tendencies toward depression and anxiety, and general life issues.
I won’t go into details here (maybe in future blog posts). I mean merely to encourage myself not to take my web disappearance too personally. At 50 years old, I don’t have time for negativity. There is writing to be done.
Welcome to Word Fertilizer!
